Sawtelle Falls

Sawtelle Falls is located off of Scraggly Lake Rd a few miles outside of Patton, Maine. This waterfall is so far off the beaten path that it’s likely you will be the only person visiting the falls on any given day. The falls is a 2-tiered horsetail that drops approximately 12-feet into a gorge and then flows lazily down the brook as far as you can see downstream.
While you can swim in the gorge, the water is generally dark and sometime foamy, which is less tempting to take a dip in that other swimming holes in the area.
