Maine’s Covered Bridges are not as plentiful as neighboring New Hampshire. With only 8 remaining covered bridges, 6 are the original structures with Babbs Bridge in Windham being rebuilt in 1976 after it was burned by vandals in 1973 and Lowes Bridge in 1990 after it was washed away in a flood.
