Professional Head Shots
Professional head shots are taken in studio or on location with a black or white backdrop. These are suitable for a a wide variety of uses, including social media, acting and modelling submissions, web sites, and more.
Session is 30-60 minutes
Makeup is not required for professional head shots.
If you are a professional model or actress needing an updated head shot, please be aware that your makeup should be natural and neutral. Casting agencies want to see you, not your makeup.
Environmental Portraits
Environmental Portraits are taken on location and can include head shots, full length poses, and everything in between. Just like professional head shots, these are suitable for multiple uses, but may not be suitable for professional acting/modelling submissions.
Single site sessions are 60-90 minutes.
Multiple site sessions are 3 hours.
You can use multiple outfits, but changing time takes away from time for photography
Makeup is not required for environmental portraits
Should you choose to wear makeup for your environmental portrait, makeup that is natural and neutral will be the most flattering in your portraits.
Professional makeup and hair styling services are available throughout the Greater Portland area. If you choose to employ a professional makeup artist or choose to have your hair styled before the photo session, please make sure to schedule enough time to allow for transport between the makeup studio or salon and the photo session location.
Cinematic Portraits
Cinematic Portraits can be taken in studio or on location. What makes these special is the utilization of a variety of lighting and effects to create a unique portrait with a cinematic look. These effects vary with each session and are recommended for those looking for something special and unique for their wall or portfolio. Special effects include smoke/fog, fans, and colored lighting as well as any unique props that you would like to provide.
Makeup is highly recommended for cinematic portraits for both men and women
Makeup that is slightly reflective or with a high sheen will allow the colored lights to reflect off the makeup.
Costumes and styled hair are highly recommended for cinematic portraits.
Props are highly recommended for cinematic portraits.
Single site sessions are highly recommended as there is additional set-up time involved for additional lighting and and special effects. Pricing for multi-site reflects the time needed for additional setup.
